Museums at the Malmöhus
If you come to Malmo, you will probably come to the Malmöhus, and quite rightly so! There are actually four individual museums within this lovely castle, which by the way, is actually the oldest Renaissance castle left still standing in Sweden. The moat was very attractive and the kids really enjoyed the aquarium - that was a pleasant surprise attraction, but in a castle?!

Malmo Stortorget
The Stortorget is the main square in the Old Town (Gamla Staden) and there is a big equestiran statue here in the middle, depicting King Charles X on horseback. The City Hall (Radhuset) is here and very nice it is too, especially when it is floodlit at night.

Check your email at the Malmo Library (on the Regementsgatan)
The city's modern library is called the Stadsbibliotek and cost many millions to build. We came here a couple of times to check our email, which was completely free by the way. The interior really is very, very beautiful, with lovely high ceilings and lots of natural light flooding in everywhere. A very well designed building which that city must be very proud of.
