Malmo Museums and Art Galleries

(Malmo, Skane County, Sweden)

Photo of the castle and its museumsThere are plenty of museums in Malmo to go around and the best are to be found around the Malmöhus Slott, combining to make the popular Malmo Museer. Also worth some time is the Stadsmuseum, where you will learn much about the history of Malmo and its evolution, as it grew into one of Scandinavia's biggest and most industrialised cities.

Those in search of art galleries will find plenty here to meet their needs, with both the Konsthall (Fine Art Museum) and the Malmo Konstmuseum (Museum of Fine Arts) being two of the very best. Within the Konstmuseum are many exceptional paintings and sculptures on display, covering a variety of styles and subjects, set within grand Renaissance-style surroundings.
