Vantaa Events and Festivals 2014 / 2015
(Vantaa, Uusimaa, Southern Finland, Finland)
Vantaa's close proximity to Helsinki means that festival goers are in for a treat. Many of Finland's largest and very best festivals and events take place just minutes away in Finland's neighbouring capital city, such as the Helsinki International Fashion Fair in January, the Viiniexpo wine fayre in March, the Beer Festival in April, and the Helsingin Juhlaviikot in late August, which is attended by crowds of more than 50,000 people.
In Vantaa itself, early August sees the arrival of the Ankka Rock, one of the larger of Finland's rock festivals. The Ankka Rock Festival is best known in Finland as simply 'Ankkarock' and draws crowds and bands from all over the country and beyond.
