There are plenty of shopping opportunities all around the centre of Weston Super Mare, and even the most keen shopaholics will find plenty of retail therapy to keep them busy.

The majority of the best shops can be found along Weston's busy High Street. Here shops stand either side of a paved pedestrianised area, with plenty of seating areas nearby.

The indoor Sovereign Shopping Centre is located here and contains plenty of shops, opening directly on to the beautifully landscaped Italian Gardens and also the spacious Town Square. Nearby is the Orchard Meadows, where a number of independent local outlets are located.

The High Street stretches all the way between Grove Park and the Dolphin Square Shopping Centre, which is known for its year-round covered market, monthly farmers' market and colourful playground area. Fenced off and featuring climbing apparatus, slides and swings, the playground offers the perfect place for younger shoppers to unwind and let off steam.

Also worth noting, nearby Clevedon features a more traditional shopping district, which is based around the Hill Road area, close to its appealing shoreline. Those planning to shop in the town of Portishead will find the best selection of shops in the precinct area around High Street.
