Re. Weather Warning
We were surprised at the weather too. There was a big storm and some minor flooding then it was bright and sunny again the next day though still cool.

Weather Warning
Bring an umbrella and raincoat even in the summer - England is notorious for the rain and it does get cool at night al year round.

Perfect on a Sunny Day
It is a quaint little town with plenty shopping and sites. High Street has most of what you need, but there are some smaller shops off the main grid if get the chance. Also on High Street are plenty of fountains and statues. It is a nice place to have a day out.

Booming Nightlife
There were actually quite a few places to go at night. Just off of High Street were few places with live music. 2 Pigs was pretty fun, as well as casual and welcoming.

Most Outdoor Activities for Families
Bowood House was good for the children. We just have a walk and enjoy the day. It was busy the day we went on Saturday. I might go a different day when people are at work. The museums were not as interesting for the young minds, but the still enjoy the parks and statues.

Use It As a Homebase
A good place to stay if you're planning to go to Stonehenge as there is a lot of restaurants and shops in town for you to go back to each day.
