The small Gloucestershire Airport stands in the Borough of Tewkesbury's community of Staverton, in the middle of South-West England's lovely Cotswolds region. It takes just ten minutes to reach both the ancient Roman city of Gloucester and the Cheltenham Spa Regency community from the formerly named Staverton Airport.
Presently,
Jersey and the Isle of Man are Gloucestershire Airport's only direct destinations. The Isle of Man's weekly flight schedule ranges from a maximum of 25 services in summer, to a minimum of five services in winter. Jersey flights are only scheduled in summer, but visitors can enjoy relaxing pleasure flights, hot-air balloon rides or even thrilling acrobatic rides above the scenic Gloucestershire countryside all year long.
The airport's annual throughput generally numbers in the region of 20,000 passengers, with this figure being fairly stable and rising and falling only slightly each year. No general aviation airfield in the whole of South-West
England can match the size of the one at this site, which is situated halfway between Gloucester and Cheltenham. Of interest, the Jet Age Museum found a permanent home here in 2012.

This airport stands just 6 km / 4 miles west of its closest community, Cheltenham, a spa town famous for its mineral springs and steeplechase horse racing. Gloucester is the other major community served by the airport and this old city boasts centuries of history, with its bustling docks and beautiful 11th-century cathedral being the main attractions.

Cars
Gloucestershire Airport is conveniently situated halfway between Cheltenham and Gloucester, and just a three-minute drive west of where the M5 motorway meets the A40. Next-door you will find the Brickhampton Court Golf Club, which is reached via Cheltenham Road (B4063) and Down Hatherley Lane. The Churchdown Park Recreation Ground is also close by, off Parton Road.

Airport reception staff can arrange taxi pick-ups on behalf of passengers. Staff generally recommend John's Private Hire Taxis, which offers an executive vehicle service, although regular local taxis are also available.
Buses
The number 94 bus stops just 900 metres / 2,955 feet away from the terminal entrance along its regular route between Cheltenham and Gloucester. This bus travels both directions between the two communities once every ten minutes and its airport stop is known locally as 'the Plough.'
