Brighton is a hugely popular seaside resort lying on England's warm south coast and is surrounded by many tempting attractions, ideal for day trips. Right next door is the town of Hove, which lies to the east and next to Portslade-by-Sea, Kingston-by-Sea and Shoreham Beach.

Holiday makers with their own set of wheels may like to drive a little further along the coast. Head to the east of Brighton and you will soon reach the seaside towns of Peacehaven, Seaford and Eastbourne, while to the west and also with driving distance are the attractions of Worthing, Littlehampton and Bognor Regis, and a little further, the city of Portsmouth.
