When to Shop and Opening Hours

Most shops in Swanage are open seven days a week, particularly during the busy summer season. Shopping hours are generally from 09:00 or earlier, Monday to Saturday, with most stores staying open until at least 17:00, often later when the summer holiday makers are present.

Sunday shopping hours in Swanage are usually a little shorter, with most stores choosing to open between 11:00 and 16:00, or thereabouts.

Where to Shop

The town centre lies to one side on the southern side of the beachfront, with the first set of shops that you are likely to encounter lining this part of Shore Road.

From here, Station Road is where many of the biggest shops in Swanage are located, such as Boots the Chemist, and the supermarkets of both Budgens and Somerfield. Near to Station Road, further shopping lies along Kings Road and the busy High Street.
