Town coastal imageAs a busy and thriving seaside resort, Swanage certainly pulls out all the stops to entertain the tourists, offering a series of exciting festivals, themed events and family activities. Each summer, there is a huge choice of things to do, ranging from evening seafront fireworks, a carnival procession and aerobatics displays by the Red Arrows flight display team (Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team).

Swanage Carnival and Regatta Week is one of the biggest festivals hosted by the town and takes place each year at the beginning of August, commencing on the first Saturday night with a dramatic fireworks display and other evening events. On the following Sunday, a procession of decorated carnival floats and marching bands take to the streets of Swanage, attracting large crowds.
