Bournemouth Hotels and Accommodation

(Bournemouth, Dorset, England, UK)

A popular English seaside destination ever since the Victorian era, the coastal town of Bournemouth comes with its very own pier, a number of theatres and plenty of accommodation to choose between. Lodging ranges from cliff-top hotels overlooking the sea, to guest houses in central Bournemouth, skirting the edges of the Lower Gardens and around the Priory Road area.

The West Cliff is also home to numerous hotels and this is always a very popular part of Bournemouth in which to stay, being just a short stroll from the town centre and the actual beachfront. Accommodation in the West Cliff area includes the Best Western Connaught and also the Tralee Hotel, both of which reside along the West Hill Road. For a touch of luxury, the five-star Royal Bath Hotel on the Bath Road, and the Menzies Carlton on the East Cliff, are both hard to beat and regularly frequented by celebrities performing close by, at the BIC or Pavilion.

Bournemouth is a busy and lively town throughout the year and its main tourist season runs roughly from April to October. Although this lively town has numerous hotels, being a popular summer seaside resort whose main business is tourism, advance booking of hotels is strongly recommended, particularly at the weekend, and there are some excellent deals to be found.

Each area and suburb of Bournemouth attracts a different type of hotel and wherever you choose to stay, the town's regular buses and network of roads allow you to travel around the with ease. Close by, further accommodation is available in the neighbouring resort of Boscombe, which is so near that its pier is within walking distance along the seafront. Christchurch, Poole and Wimborne are also relatively nearby and feature plenty of B&Bs, family run guest houses and even camping grounds.
