This church is most well-known for its tomb of Mary Shelly, author of the world-famous novel 'Frankenstein'. Mary Shelley's tomb at St. Peters Parish Church attracts many curious visitors every year and Mary Shelley's parents are also buried in this tomb.

Completed in 1875 by the architect Clutton, the Church of the Sacred Heart is situated in Albert Road. This imposing Bournemouth church features an interesting mixture of neo-Gothic, neo-Norman and Victorian architecture. The Church of the Sacred Heart attracts many Catholics in this part of Dorset and visitors are always welcome.

The ancient Christchurch Priory church is located in Christchurch, close to Bournemouth, and this stunning church is regarded as one of England's most beautiful churches. Dating back to the 9th century, attractions at the Christchurch Priory church include a Norman nave, a striking commemorative window, and a pendant vault in the Lady Chapel, which was probably the first of its kind in England.
