Walking around the streets
Central Truro is quite small and can be prone to traffic jams at times, but on the whole is a very pleasant place to have a stroll. Some of the city centre is now entirely traffic free and pedestrian will enjoy exploring the shopping strets and narrow alleyways, particularly around Boscowan Street. There are lots of period buildings in this part of Truro, and pretty areas of cobblestones.

Lovely Truro Cathedral
Truro Cathedral is Anglican and dominates the city. You can see it virtually whereever you are standing and therefore many people often use it as a handy meeting place. It was built in the 1880s, although the Gothic revival architecture makes it appear much older. It is very classical and traditional in its appearance, with a tall central tower, two further weatern towers, and a large, circular window. We visited the cathedral and found it to be the main highlight in the city. Around 200,000 people now visit it each year.
