Guernsey Hotels and Accommodation

(Guernsey, Channel Islands, British Isles)

Picture of the coastline at St. Peter PortBeing a small island, whatever your accommodation on Guernsey, you will never be far from scenic coastline, a good beach or plenty of family attractions. The biggest selection of hotels are based in St. Peter Port, although there are plenty of further lodging options all over Guernsey, particularly around Vale, with the more expensive hotels tending to either offer the best views, or the most convenient locations.

Accommodation in Guernsey not only comes in the form of hotels, but also small family run guesthouses offering B&B lodging, along with numerous self-catering apartments and even a number of camping sites. The Fauxquets Valley Farm Campsite is especially popular and enjoys a peaceful countryside setting, with Cabanon hire tents being quite affordable and available from April to September. However, campers should note that caravans are not permitted on the island, only tents.

Where to Stay

Those looking for sea views will find a variety of outstanding hotels to choose from. These include a number of good accommodation options in St. Peter Port, such as the Sunnycroft Hotel on the Constitution Steps, and La Collinette Hotel on the outskirts of the town, in St. Jacques, linked to the town centre by the landscaped Candie Gardens.

For some of the very best in the way of panoramic coastal views on Guernsey, consider staying at the Imperial Hotel, which stands next to the westerly beachfront of Rocquaine Bay. Alternatively, l'Eree Bay Hotel offers affordable accommodation, with spectacular coastal scenery and a beautiful sandy beach just outside of the windows, also being close to Lihou Island. For something quite different and just a short boat trip from Guernsey, the White House Hotel is located on Herm Island and boasts some of the best sea views imaginable.
