Bandung Hotels and Accommodation

(Bandung, West Java, Indonesia)

Various hotels are available all over Bandung, with a good selection of cheap, budget accommodation to be found around the city centre, and also close to the train station, such as the Hotel Arimbi on the Jalan Station Selatan.

When looking for accommodation in Bandung, do bear in mind that lodging rates are at their most pricey during the dry season (May to September), when you can expect to pay a premium for the plentiful sunshine and blue skies. However, lodging is hardly what you would call expensive at anytime, by European standards, with lots of year-round bargains.

Where to Stay

Budget hotels are in good supply along the Jalan Kebonjati, where both the Surabaya and the By Moritz are recommended choices. As you move up the lodging scale to mid-range accommodation, the options improve greatly, with many reliable options being located on the Jalan Gargujati, the Jalan Juanda and directly to the north of the train station.

Popular mid-range accommodation in this busy Indonesian capital includes the Novotel Hotel on the Jalan Cihampelas, the Aston Tropicana on the Premier Plaza, and the Holiday Inn Bandung. With just under 150 guest rooms spread over eight floors, the Holiday Inn is a particularly good hotel and resides alongside the Bandung Indah Plaza, where it is just a short stroll from the Wastukencana Flower Market.

Those looking for luxury accommodation in Bandung should consider the various service apartments available in the city, such as the Galeri Ciumbuleuit Apartments on the Jalan Ciumbuleuit, or the Majesty Service Apartments on the Jalan Sumatera. For reasonably upmarket hotels, the Grand Pasundan Convention Hotel on the Jalan Peta is worth noting, as is the Grand Preanger on the Jalan Asia Afrika, and both the Sheraton and the hilltop Jayakarta Bandung Suite Hotel and Spa on the Jalan Juanda.
