Re. One day just wasn't enough
Be careful about that. There are a lot undesirables posing as guides that aren't really. True guides usually have something around their necks. Better look next time.

One day just wasn't enough
Our first trip in Udaipur was to the Jain temple and one day just wasn't enough to see everything they have there. The architecture is stunning and every time you look beyond the temple there is something pleasing in the distance. We got ripped off by a guide and had to look around ourselves, which was the only downside.

Re. An insight into the lavish lives of Indian royalty
Ah, next time you can purchase the audio tour. Luckily we were given advice to and received information on all the exhibits. If you are interested in Indian royalty, you can always head to the Sajjan Garh - literally translated as Monsoon Palace. Maybe you did already, I'm not sure!

An insight into the lavish lives of Indian royalty
Wow! That's all I can say after having visited the city palace just over half a mile from the centre. There were some beautiful exhibits and the site was beautifully maintained. The only thing it was lacking was a tour guide to take us around.

Inspirational bodies of water
Lake Pichhola Udaipur is the pride and joy of the town and its inhabitants and we definitely weren't questioning why after having visited. I recommend the boat trip around it to all interested parties that are interested in also seeing the Taj Palace.
