Mumbai Beaches and Water Sports
(Mumbai / Bombay, Maharashtra, India)
Although Mumbai's coastline doesn't boast the cleanest waters and best beaches, many stretches are suitable for a range of water sports, such a water skiing, sea kayaking, parasailing and also wind surfing. Girgaum Chowpatty Beach is amongst the best spots for water sports in Mumbai and also features pleasure boats, which cruise around the bay and allow you to appreciate the city from a distance, being especially popular at sunset.
Also located on the region's western seaboard, Juhu Beach features a backdrop of many luxury hotels and is also busy with its human-powered fairground rides, which are a firm favourite with children. Other popular beaches in the Mumbai area include the Aksa, Dadar Chowpatti, Gorai, Manori, Marvé, Versova and also Madh Island.
