Goa Dabolim Airport (GOI) Information

(Goa, India)

Dabolim Airport is the sole air facility serving the popular Indian state of Goa, one of India's top beach resort destinations. This airport sees more than three million passengers fly into its two terminals every year from across India, the Middle East, the UK and Europe, via a number of permanent and seasonal charter airlines.

The main domestic carriers serving Goa include Jet Airways, Kingfisher, GoAir, Air India and Spice Jet. Domestic flights run daily, year-round, to major Indian cities such as Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. International flights run regularly to Doha with Qatar Airlines, and several seasonal routes operate to the UK and Europe in winter. A number of British carriers, such as Thomson Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines, offer charter flights, while Russia, Norway, the Netherlands and Poland are linked by seasonal winter flights.

One terminal serves domestic flights, while the other manages international flights. Both terminals contain a full range of amenities for passengers, from eating to shopping options and money and medical services. Public buses, taxis and rental cars are available for transport from the airport, which is located to the south of Panaji. Vasco da Gama is the nearest town, at just 4 km / 2.5 away.

Cars and Taxis

Taxis are the most popular form of transport from Dabolim Airport. All of the taxis operating here work on a pre-set fare basis, so no negotiation is needed. Car hire is another good option for travellers wanting to explore the Goa / Konkan area. Several Indian and international car rental companies are located at the airport. Highways 366 and 566 run from the coastal airport towards Vasco da Gama and on to the capital, Panaji, via the Kanyakumari Panavel Road and its bridge.

The villages of both Zuarinagar and Quellosim lie directly to the east, while countless beaches are just a short drive to the south-east, such as those of Cansaulim, Arossim, Utorda, Majorda, Betalbatim and Colva Circle.
