A number of hotels within Goa have capitilised on the golfing market and now offer their own personal golf courses, with packages available. Particularly popular is the 12-hole golf course at the stunning Leela Goa Hotel, which often offers special golfing packages to entice visitors. The Leela Goa golf course also offers mature scenery, with many large palm trees and densely planted areas.

The swanky five-star Taj Exotica Goa offers a range of sports facilities, with its nine-hole executive golf course being especially popular, along with its well-maintained putting green, its boating and its tennis courts.


Where to Play

Close to the Ramada Caravela Beach Resort and within the Salcete area of Goa is a further golf course, while the InterContinental Hotel features its own stunning, elevated links golf course, with many of the holes actually overlooking the coastline and close to the beachfront itself. Known as the 'Grand Greens at Intercontinental', this golf course is worth finding and features good facilities, including a nearby outdoor swimming pool and also a sports court.

Most hotels in Goa with their own golf courses feature reasonable facilities, including equipment hire and golf balls. Caddies can also be arranged, along with professional golf instructors, should you wish to take advantage of your holiday time and hone your golfing skills.
