The Imperial Palace
The Imperial Palace in Shenyang was lovely. It is also known as the Mukden Palace and was built in 1625. Many Japanese emperors from the Qing emperors have lived here in this complex over the years. In 1955 it became the Shenyang Palace Museum. It has a strong resemblance to the Beijing Forbidden City. The architecture is simple and yet ornate. There are some nice clipped pine trees rather like big bonsai lining the stone courtyard at the front, by the entrance.
