Lovely Place to Relax
We decided to visit Lijiang Folk Customs Garden while in Guilin and weren't disappointed. It cost us next to nothing to get in the gardens and only a few RMB in a taxi from our hotel. Lovely place to relax after dealing with the general hustle and bustle all morning.

Re. Lost in the Forest
I liked the forest too but also thoroughly enjoyed Reed Flute Cave. Admittedly it is further from the city centre than the forest but you get lovely views of Guilin from Bright Hill and can see the Peach Blossom River too.

Lost in the Forest
Ok, so we didn't get lost - but that would've been fine by me! You might have to get someone to write down the name in Chinese for you to show to a taxi driver but all will be familiar with Guangxi Guilin Forest Park. The best outdoor attraction in this area if you ask me!

A Royal Residence
Whenever you see an old story book or movie with Chinese emperors and such, the characters always live in such vast and impressive palaces. Jingjiang Royal Residence confirmed to me that people did really live that way once before and I loved every minute of my time there.

'Foreigner Street'
I didn't quite know what to expect when our tour guide told us we were off to Foreigner Street but it was all quite harmless fun and is merely a place for shopping and buying discounted gifts - some of which are unique to this area.
