Do not miss the Peyton Randolph Home
There are lots of interesting houses to tour around Williamsburg. I particularly likes the Peyton Randolph House. It was first built nearly 300 years ago and restored in the thirties and again in the sixties. Inside there was some really nice, simple antique furniture, original wooden floors and lots of beautiful oak panelling. Peyton Randolph was a well known spreaker at the Virginia House of Burgesses and was the President of the Continental Congress.

The historic Jamestown Site
If you are visiting this city then it is worth going to the historic Jamestone site, where there are some interesting remains of some very old buildings. It is around eight miles from Williamsburg and te harbor has some nice replica ships. We took the Jamestown Ferry down the James River, and then walked along the boardwalk, by the swamps.

The Merchants Square in Williamsburg
When you;'ve had a long day sightseeing around the old town, many of the attractions start to close. We found that Merchants Square has a good palce to hang out at the end of the day. There were some nice shops, and some good places to eat out. It is near to the Lafayette Street and there was definitely a pleasant vibe going on.
