Water Country USA

This is a definite must for families visiting the city, with the mid-Atlantic's largest water park featuring numerous modern rides, attractions, shops and restaurants, all set to a 1960s surf theme. Attractions at Williamsburg's Water Country USA include a wave pool, Kritter Koral and Big Daddy Falls, a huge river rafting adventure.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg

A great attraction for the family in Williamsburg is Busch Gardens, where you will find plenty of world-class rides, including several gut-wrenching roller coasters and more than 50 other rides. College of William and Mary

Established in 1693, this is the second-oldest college in the country. A stroll through the campus will reveal elegant buildings, historical attractions and a friendly population of students, who are always willing to help out. In total there are now more than 8,000 students to be found on this campus of some 1,200 acres / 485 hectares. It is more than likely that your visit will coincide with one of the regular cultural and arts events held here on a regular basis.

Williamsburg Winery

A definite for wine lovers and located just off Lake Powell Road, Williamsburg Winery can be traced back to 1616 and today boasts 320 acres / 130 hectares of vines that produce a variety of wines including chardonnay, seyval and merlot. Visitors are treated to a guided tour, with other attractions including wine tasting and a complimentary wine tasting glass.
