Liberty Park

This 80-acre / 32-hectare urban park attracts many sportsmen and women with its superb track for running, swimming pool and tennis courts. Memory Grove Park

For a taste of canyon scenery, Memory Grove Park is ideal for those who don't want to venture far from downtown Salt Lake City. Dedicated to Utah's war veterans, this uneven parkland provides runners with a steep climb for a great workout. For more gentle exercise, the park features trails on either side of the City Creek, which runs through the park, while other highlights include Beauty Pond, one of Salt Lake City's few off-leash areas for dogs.

Red Butte Gardens

The one time site of Utah Territorial Prison, this 130-acre / 53-hectare landscape is ideal for running, walking or simply relaxing at any time of the year. Features at Salt Lake City's Sugarhouse Park include a beautiful fragrant rose garden, duck pond and breathtaking mountain views. Children will be impressed with the playgrounds, picnic area and volleyball courts, while during the winter months the gently rolling slopes make it the ideal place to bring your sled and enjoy some fun in the snow.

Established by the Salt Lake City Council of Women in 1947, this park is symbolic in its efforts to foster peace and friendship among all countries. The nations of the world are represented by garden plots and there are series of flags, statues, symbols and plaques within the park.
