Salt Lake City Attractions for Children

(Salt Lake City, Utah - UT, USA)

Those on holiday in Salt Lake City as a family will be able to choose from a number of particularly appealing attractions highly suitable for children. At the top of your itinerary should be the Clark Planetarium, which has been open since 2003 and is actually America's very first 'pitless' digital domed planetarium.

Located on the far eastern side of Salt Lake City, at the mouth of Emigration Canyon and next to the Pioneer Trail State Park is Utah's Hogle Zoo, which serves as the biggest zoological gardens in the state and covers and area of just over 40 acres / 16 hectares. The zoo is now owned by the city, being funded by the Utah Zoological Association. Another attraction of note is the Tracy Aviary, which is located on the southern side of Liberty Park and has been open since 1938, after a wealthy local banker donated his private collection of exotic birds to the city and its people.
