(Pierre, South Dakota - SD, USA)

South Dakota's capital and Hughes County's seat, the rather small and relatively unassuming city of Pierre only comes with a population in the region of 15,000 residents. Interestingly, this makes it only just appear within the top ten of the state's largest cities, with Sioux Falls proudly occupying the number one position on this list, followed by Rapid City.

Pierre sits snuggly into a large almost right-angled bend on the Missouri River and boasts an extremely central situation within the state of South Dakota. Lake Oahe, one of the largest man-made lakes on the planet, is just a few miles away and makes for a very popular excursion.
