In line with other Ripley's Believe It or Not museums dotted around the country, the Myrtle Beach branch is no exception, in that it displays fascinating oddities that defy belief. Particular highlights include a cow with six legs, shrunken heads and many other weird and wonderful sights from all over the world. Also located on the North Ocean Boulevard and virtually next door are further related Ripley's attractions, such as the Haunted Adventure, the Mirror Maze and the Moving Theater, where a 4D virtual reality simulator will allow you to experience a movie from a very different dimension.

Horry County Museum

Having first opened in 1973, the South Carolina Hall of Fame was established in order to pay tribute to those individuals who have played a significant part in shaping the history, heritage and development of Myrtle Beach. Those who have been bestowed the honor of being recognized include people who were born in this city, as well as those who were born elsewhere yet made the city their home. Those recognized include President Andrew Jackson, jazz musician Dizzy Gillespie, painter Jasper Johns and Senator J. Strom Thurmond.
