Eppley Airfield (OMA) / Arriving by Air
Nebraska's largest airport, Eppley Airfield receives mainly domestic flights and is a gateway to the Midwest. The airport stands just 4 miles / 6 km to the northeast of Omaha city center. Major airlines, such as Midwest Airlines, Southwest and Delta Air, offer non-stop flights to 16 US destinations.
International visitors tend to fly in after transferring from a larger international airport. Consisting of two levels, Omaha's airport offers basic facilities and ground transport, and is just a short journey to nearby Omaha. Bus travel and hire cars are available from the airport, though prior booking for car rental is suggested.

Running daily between Emeryville, located in the
San Francisco area and Chicago, is the California Zephyr, which stops at Omaha as well as other places along the way. The California Zephyr is involved in a partnership program between Amtrak rail and the National Park Service. For those who enjoy beautiful scenery and have time to spare, train travel is the best way to reach Omaha.
