Dreamy is one word for it!
I enjoyed your review and have made sure I visit West Yellowstone once a year just for the Biscuit Basin alone. This has been an ongoing thing since 1995! Did you try any of the tours available there? You can also head to Old Faithful after enjoying this attraction and I would recommend Mystic Falls too, if you didn't see them.

A dreamy geological formation
We decided to head to the interestingly-named Biscuit Basin first on our West Yellowstone excursion and ended up going back a few times. The jewel geyser was my favourite but my wife and children enjoyed the Sapphire pool the most. Amazing that this is all natural and the work of a volcano!

An out of body experienced
We fancied catching movie in West Yellowstone and were amazing by the IMAX theatre, which we don't have in my country. You get choice between normal movie or documentaries about the area. We choose to see one each and a whole evening was spent there. One thing I would give advice for is that anyone that is interested checks the listings before, because maybe it's closed.

Fly fishing in a serene environment
I managed to get away from the rest of the pack when my wife treated me to a day of fly-fishing. Sitting by the side of the Madison River with such a beautiful backdrop while chewing the fat with other enthusiasts was a great experience and I think that even those who aren't interested in fishing would still enjoy this.

Up close and personal with dangerous wildlife
Personally I enjoyed West Yellowstone's wildlife more than its scenery, with the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center my personal highlight of the time I spent in the area. You are able to see these animals how they should be seen, in their natural habitat, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable on them while happy to answer any questions.
