Topeka Art Galleries

(Topeka, Kansas - KS, USA)

There are several very reasonable galleries located within the Kansas state capital, spread around downtown Topeka and within the shopping centers beyond the city center boundaries.

Located on the northwestern corner of the Washburn University campus and established in the mid-1920s, the Mulvane Art Museum is just a stroll away from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Southwest 17th Street. This established gallery strongly believes that art can be life changing and visitors are encouraged to not only admire the paintings hanging on the wall, but also to learn about the story behind each piece.

The Alice C. Sabatini Gallery is to be found within the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, where it displays a variety of local art works around its tower. Also of note is SouthWind Art, Glass Expressions and the Topeka Art Guild and Gallery, which is actually part of the Fairlawn Plaza Mall and sits on the corner of Southwest 21st Street and Southwest Fairlawn Road.
