Birds of Prey in Boise
This isn't really a must see attraction, but is quite nice in you're in the area. It has an interesting visitor center and you are usually able to get close to a few birds. However, the center really concentrates its efforts on the conservation of wild birds, and so you wouldn't expect to spend very long here.

On the River
Go to Barber Park, hire a raft, and then go for a row. The river has a few rather tame rapids along the way, nothing to get too worried about. This is the way that the locals like to spend their time. You end up at Ann Morrison Park and can leave your gear there.

Riding on the Tour Train - very touristy!
If you are in Boise and you are a tourist, well, you have every excuse to be able to act like one. Jump on the Tour Train and tour the city. This is actually a bright red land train and is a firm favorite with visitors. You start at the Julia Davis Park on Capitol Boulevard, which is close to the library.
