Dover Golf Courses and Clubs

There are several golf courses located in this part of Delaware, both within the city of Dover and in nearby suburb towns, such as those of Magnolia, Smyrna and Wyoming.

Due to the mild winter weather, most courses tend to remain open throughout the year, with summer hours usually falling between 07:00 and 20:00, and shorter winter hours from 08:00 to 16:00, or thereabouts.

Particularly historic and located on the northwesterly outskirts, the Maple Dale Country Club began its life in 1922, when a small three-hole course was constructed in the grounds of the Hastings estate. The course was soon expanded and reopened in the late 1960s, complete with a spacious clubhouse and other recreational attractions, such as a large open-air pool and several tennis courts.


If you are looking to play a round on a budget, then consider the nine-hole special at the Dover Center Par on Artis Drive, which is exceptionally good value at just a few dollars.
