Stockton Shopping and Districts

(Stockton, California - CA, USA)

Several shopping malls and plenty of local stores mean that visitors to Stockton will not have far to trek for some retail opportunities. Many luxury brands can be found around the city, ranging from designer clothing and upscale fashion boutiques, to pricey Rolex watches and jewelry.

A great way to meet the local Californians and sample their produce is by paying a visit to one of the surrounding farms and wineries, or heading to a farmer's market. Freshly squeezed olive oil, along with seasonal fruit and veg, can be found at the Bozzano Olive Range on Navone Road, on the northeastern side of the city, while more centrally located is the Downtown Stockton Certified Farmers' Market on Main Street, next to the Bob Hope Theater.

More than 2,000 people choose to do part of their weekly shopping at the Downtown Stockton Certified Farmers' Market, which operates each Friday between the months of May and October, from 08:00 until 14:00. Even more popular is the Downtown Stockton Asian Farmers' Market on the corner of San Joaquin Street and El Dorado Street. This particular market dates from the late 1970s and operates all through the year, opening early on Saturday mornings, roughly from 05:30 until 11:00 or thereabouts, and drawing up to 9,000 shoppers.
