San Jose Art Galleries

(San Jose, California - CA, USA)

The city of San Jose contains a number of notable art galleries, providing a large and varied collection of paintings and sculptures. Especially impressive is the San Jose Museum of Art South Market Street, which stands alongside the Circle of Palms Plaza and was founded in 1969. Today, the art works are mainly of a contemporary nature, with a definite focus on local artists from the West Coast.

Modern art is also heavily featured at the ART-TECH Silicon Valley Institute of Art and Technology in downtown, as well as at the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art.
