The Capitan FAP Guillermo Concha Iberico International Airport services the capital of the Piura region, which is known for its history, being the third city founded by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro. This air hub provides convenient access to the popular beach resorts of Mancora and Colan, on the northern coast of
Peru.
The airport is located just east of Piura city centre, across the river, making it a convenient transportation option into the region. The airport has one terminal and handles roughly 500,000 passengers a year. Flights on offer are primarily operated by local airlines, including LAN Peru, Peruvian Airlines, SAEREO (Servicios Aéreos Ejecutivos Saereo S.A.) and also TACA Peru. Most links are domestic in nature, connecting both
Lima and Santa Rosa. From these airports, visitors can transit to international destinations.

The Capitan FAP Guillermo Concha Iberico International Airport is approximately 2 km / 1 mile to the east of Piura city, lying in between the suburbs of Las Montero, El Bosque and 15 de Setiembre. Many visitors use this hub as a gateway to the coastal area of Piura and its beautiful beaches. Of note, the airport is closed during the early afternoon and after 19:30.

Cars
The centre of Piura can be reached easily by car. From the airport, visitors should take the Avenida Corpac, join the Avenida Progreso and then follow the Avenida Bolognesi into the city centre. To reach the coastal city of Paita from the airport, visitors need to follow the route to the city centre and then turn on to the Carretera Interoceanica Norte road. The famous resort of Mancora (to the north-west) can be easily reached via the Panamericana Norte (1N) road.

Servitours offers taxis which are licensed by Piura's airport, with vehicles being available just outside of the terminal building. The journey into the city centre by taxi takes less than 15 minutes.
