Piura Capitan FAP Guillermo Concha Iberico International Airport (PIU) Information

(Piura, Peru)

The Capitan FAP Guillermo Concha Iberico International Airport services the capital of the Piura region, which is known for its history, being the third city founded by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro. This air hub provides convenient access to the popular beach resorts of Mancora and Colan, on the northern coast of Peru.

The airport is located just east of Piura city centre, across the river, making it a convenient transportation option into the region. This part of Peru is hot throughout the year, with temperatures ranging between 20°C / 68°F and 30°C / 86°F, meaning that it is an extremely appealing beach getaway.

The airport has one terminal and handles roughly 500,000 passengers a year. Flights on offer are primarily operated by local airlines, including LAN Peru, Peruvian Airlines, SAEREO (Servicios Aéreos Ejecutivos Saereo S.A.) and also TACA Peru. Most links are domestic in nature, connecting both Lima and Santa Rosa. From these airports, visitors can transit to international destinations.
