Cayo Guillermo Landmarks and Monuments

(Cayo Guillermo, Ciego de Avila, Jardines del Rey, Cuba)

While there really aren't any landmarks of note on Cayo Guillermo or Cayo Coco, there is a wealth of natural sights that will blow your mind. Ernest Hemingway knew these cays like the back of his hand, and was one of the first visitors to this archipelago.

If you crave some Cuban culture, just head over the bridge to Morón, where you can enjoy crumbling colonial architecture and a charming old railway station. Alternatively, hang out at the aptly named Marlin Marina and watch the arrival of the daily fishing boats.

Morón Railway Station

One of the architectural gems in mellow Morón is the town's railway station, which was built in the 1920s. It looks exactly as it did nearly a century ago, and makes a great photo shot. Next door is the town's municipal museum, giving you something to do after viewing the station.
