Allt-y-Graban Golf Club

The Allt-y-Graban Golf Club is a relatively short course, with a yardage of just under 5,000 and only nine holes. However, it is well placed and ideal for a quick game and also features a practice area. Dating back to 1993, the club features a parkland setting and is especially popular with visiting holiday makers, who often head to the clubhouse restaurant after the game.

Clyne Golf Club

A fairly flat, moorland-type golf course with a yardage of more than 6,300 and a par of 70, the Clyne Golf Club is the perfect place to practice and improve on your handicap. Overlooking both Swansea Bay and the extremely picturesque Gower area, the course first opened in 1920 and is highly regarded throughout the United Kingdom. The panoramic views from the clubhouse are exceptional and the restaurant overlooks much of the course.

Fairwood Park Golf Club

At around 6,800 yards, the Fairwood Park Golf Club has much to offer and suits those looking for a challenge. With 18 holes, spacious fairways and many superb vantage points, the course offers pleasant landscaping, with many heavily wooded areas, together with large lakes.

Gower Golf Club

A reasonably long course with a yardage of approximately 6,500 and a parkland backdrop, the Gower Golf Club opened relatively recently, in the mid-1990s. The course's reputation has grown considerably since its opening and it is now considered to be amongst the finest of its kind in the whole of South Wales. Mature trees, landscaped planting and unexpected hazards are just some of the many features found here.

Langland Bay Golf

More than 100 years old, the historic Langland Bay Golf stands close to Swansea, in the scenic Gower Peninsula. With a coastal site and surrounding rolling parklands, the views here are exceptional and varied, with different outlooks from each of the 18 holes. The sandy bunkers are rather small and known for being rather demanding.

In the outer suburbs of Swansea you will find the Morriston Golf Club, close to the M4 motorway's junction 46. At just over 5,700 yards, a round on this 18-hole course can be fairly quick, although you can expect some difficult holes and fairly small greens at times, with the 17th hole being especially famous for being tough.

Close to Swansea, the par-72 Palleg Golf Club features traditional meadowland surroundings with a yardage of around 5,900 and 18 holes. Surrounded by the beautiful Swansea Valley, the course has many hazards along the way, finishing up with a large and extremely friendly '19th hole' where a range of hot meals are served.

With 18 holes, a yardage of around 6,000 and a number of seasonal tournaments, the Pennard Golf Club is amongst the most historic golf courses in the whole of Wales and dates back to the end of the 19th century. Offering an elevated situation on the top of the cliff, the Pennard Golf Club is known for its stunning views of Swansea's cityscape and beyond, and is well worth searching out.

Home to a noteworthy 18-hole course on the northern side of Swansea, the Pontardawe Golf Club lies off the M4 and is easy to reach. With a yardage of just over 6,000 and a meadowland terrain, the course overlooks the Bristol Channel and offers breathtaking views from each of the challenging holes.
