Toledo Events and Festivals 2014 / 2015

(Toledo, Castile-La Mancha, Spain)

Toledo Events, Festivals and Things to DoFor some of the very best festivals in Spain, you will really need to make the journey into 'nearby' Madrid, the Spanish capital. However, Toledo does come with a number of its very own seasonal events, with the Easter festivities during Holy Week being especially exciting.

Roughly two months later and it is time for the Corpus Christi celebrations, which are very much centred around the Cathedral of Toledo (Catedral). The cathedral also draws sizeable crowds during the Feast of the Assumption each August, when Roman Catholics come together to celebrate the anniversary of the Virgin Mary's ascent into heaven. Visitors can expect plenty of things to do and see during Corpus Christi, such as street fairs, themed activities and food stalls, as well as church services and a lengthy procession.

Public Holidays

There are approximately fourteen accepted public holidays in Spain, which can be acknowledged on either a local or national basis. Listed below are those dates observed in Toledo.
