Located within the county of Devon and on the south-western coast of England, the region named Torbay comprises three towns, namely those of Brixham, Paignton and Torquay. Each of these adjacent towns function as holiday destinations in their own right, whilst being close to many additional attractions and beaches of the Jurassic Coast.

Torbay is to be found part-way in between the cities of Plymouth and Exeter, fronting the English Channel, where it is part of the coastal stretch nicknamed the English Riviera. Torquay is by far the largest of these three seaside towns, with its population being in the region of 130,000 residents. Paignton is called home by close to 50,000 people, while just over 17,000 locals live in Brixham.

Those holidaying in Torquay will find all of the traditional attractions that you expect around an English beachfront, such as fish and chip shops, amusements, gift shops and cafes. There is also a popular coastal zoo named Living Coasts, along with regular shows at the Princess Theatre and no less than nine principal beaches - Anstey's Cove, Babbacombe, Corbyn Sands, Maidencombe, Meadfoot, Oddicombe, Torre Abbey Sands and Watcombe. Children spending time in Torquay will be sure to enjoy a ride on the Babbacombe Cliff Railway, or perhaps a visit to the charming Babbacombe Model Village (nearby Oddicombe Beach), while close by, the exotic animals at Paignton Zoo are less than 15 minutes away by car.
