War Tunnels
At the end of the day, it was wet and we wanted to spend a couple of hours somewhere while it was raining. We were meaning to go to the War Tunnels at some point, and we were just a few minutes away by car. The entrance fee was a bit much, but we didn't know what to expect. There were loads of interactive displays, and I enjoyed putting together an old radio by following instructions on a sign. This is a thought provoking museum and the only downside was the price in my opinion, however, it's a great place to spend a rainy afternoon.

St. Aubin's Bay and Town
We stayed on a flat right next to the promenade by St. Aubin's Bay and the view was incredible. I think that this is one of the prettiest parts of Jersey and I was amazed at how random the sea seemed to be behaving. One morning we'd get up and the see was almost touching the promenade wall, and the next morning it was completely out, revealing lovely fresh sand. The were lots of restaurants around St. Aubin's Harbour, but to be honest, they were too expensive for the likes of me and so we had a barbecue on St. Brelade's Beach - in February! It was such good weather, we were amazed. I didn't think it would be so much warmer than England, but I think we hit rather lucky that week.

The Corbiere Lighthouse
The Corbiere Lighthouse was erected during the 1870s and is in the Saint Brelade parish of Jersey. It is one of the most photographed sights on the island and has stopped ships grounding themselves on the rocks for all this time. We enjoyed walking around Corbiere and even managed to buy some junk (!) at a car boot sale. Well, we were in the holiday mood.

We went fishing
The sea fishing in Jersey is incredible and there are many record breaking fish just swimming around the water surrounding the island. A lot of people tend to fish around the main harbours and at the end of piers. There are also some fishing trips that take you out a bit further. Bass is one of the fish that you are most likely to catch here - take it back to your hotel and get them to cook it up for you! Our hotel was more than happy to do that for us and it was delicious.
