Milford Sound Events, Things to Do and Festivals 2014 / 2015
(Milford Sound, South Island, New Zealand)
Not much happens in Milford Sound, but nearby
Queenstown and
Wanaka offer a wealth of annual festivals, family events and fun things to do. Events take place year-round, in both the summer and winter, the latter of which sees a collection of festivals and unique goings-on in Queenstown.
Sporting events are the main thing, particularly triathlons, while the Queenstown Winter Festival and the Spring Carnival are two of the bigger get-togethers. The area also marks New Zealand's national holidays, including New Year's Day, Waitangi Day and ANZAC Day.
