Wellington Skiing, Snowboarding and Mount Ruapehu

Skiing trips and excursions from Wellington have recently become increasingly popular during the winter months of June, July and August, particularly around Mount Ruapehu. Popular locations include many exceptional skiing resorts within easy reach of the New Zealand capital, such as Whakapapa, Turoa and other areas around Ohakune, on Mount Ruapehu, which are all located just over 300 km / 190 miles to the north of central Wellington.
