Trip to Seattle in Sept 2010
A beautiful place with much to do. The attraction pass is definitely worth a purchase. The lite rail is wonderful. Mt St Helen's and Mt Rainier are a must see. The Sleep Inn at Sea-Tac is wonderful, would definitely stay there again. There is one GREAT BIG CON: Rent your vehicle away from the airport. We rented for one week at a cost of USD 284 and the bill totalled out at USD 476 - 52% added taxes and fees from the airport - will never rent at an airport again. A royal rip off if ever there was one.

Seattle - the Golden Gardens Park
This is on the northern side of the Ballard district, an areas which many people call Sunset Hill. The lower part of the park is where most people tend to hang out, around the freshwater marsh and the waters of the Puget Sound. There is a beach area here with firepits, and the water is regularly used for sailing and also kayaking - even swimming is you are brave enough (the water is cold!). A lot of water fowl live here and occasionally, people say that they have seen a sea lion, although I never have myself. If you want to find a countryside setting around from Seattle, then this is the place. I come here all the time with my dog.

Seattle Downtown District - where the Central Library is
Downtown Seattle sure is the place to be if you are looking for action. The Central Library is a fine modernseattle lib building in this part of the city and is a mixture of glass, steel and concrete. This is one awesome building and really looks more like it belongs in a space station on the moon. It is next to the ht4 and 5th Avenues, and Madison Street. Join an arhitectural tour to find out more about its diesn and floating platforms. You down need to be a bookworm to want to come here.
