Fort Worth Tourist Attractions and Sightseeing

(Fort Worth, Texas - TX, USA)

There are certainly a number of distractions and attractions available for tourists visiting Fort Worth, ranging from numerous sporting stadiums, landscaped botanical gardens, a zoo suiting families and entertainment venues, such as both the Downtown Convention Center and the domed Casa Manana Theater.

This Texan city fondly remembers and celebrates its Western heritage and currently chooses to call itself the 'City of Cowboys and Culture', boasting the biggest indoor rodeo on the planet and an unusual human-sized Cowtown Cattlepen Maze.

Culture certainly abounds at the Bass Performance Hall on Commerce Street, close to Sundance Square, which functions as a state-of-the-art entertainment and concert venue, and occupies an entire city block. Many of Fort Worth's biggest concerts and musicals are staged here, along with performances of a theatrical nature, ballets and operas, all of which make the very most of the hall's exceptional acoustics.

Fort Worth Zoo is another leading tourist attraction in the city and is now more than a century old, first opening for business as far back as 1909. Today, the zoo comes with more than 400 different animal species, which are exhibited within themed areas, such as the African Savannah, the Australian Outback, Parrot Paradise and the World of Primates, as well as Texas Wild, where many indigenous Texan creatures live.

Guided tours of Fort Worth's Bureau of Engraving and Printing on Blue Mound Road are always popular, and this museum-type attraction shows how US dollar notes are printed. An onsite monetary themed gift shop is available, should you wish to spend your dollars purchasing a souvenir of your visit to this famous glorified money factory.
