Corpus Christi and the USS Lexington
Step onboard the USS Lexington and learn what it was like to serve onboard this mammoth World War 2 ship. You can set jet fighters, take part if the flight simulation, and watch films, screening in the mega theater. The USS Lexington is a kind of museum and is open all through the week and weekend. It is docked in the bay and is close to the downtown district.

I went to the Texas State Aquarium and it was good, really good
We spent several hours wandering around the Texas State Aquarium and enjoying all of the marine exhibits, and what a lot there were. It is one the North Shoreline Boulevard and the kids loved it, especially the touch pools and crabs. There were sharks, sea turtles, jellyfish, alligators, dolphins, otters and some very brightly colored fishies.

The Beaches of Corpus Christi
The beaches make Corpus Christi feel very much like a seaside resort and although we came here out of season, when it was a bit cold, I would imagine that in the summer they are gorgeous. You can get to the best bits of beach by driving along the South Padre Island and looking out for the various access roads. The sea looked lovely and I must admit, I went for a paddle.
