Corpus Christi offers some truly excellent science and cultural museums, with interactive exhibits appealing to all ages. The Museum of Science and History stands on North Chaparral Street, close to the Harbor Bridge and Mesquite Street, where it enjoys healthy visitor numbers.

Extremely popular in Corpus Christi is the Texas State Asian Cultures Museum, which is also to be found on North Chaparral Street and stands just across from the CVB Visitors Center and the American Bank Convention Center. Another major attraction in its own right is the Art Museum of South Texas on the Shoreline Boulevard, where stylish modern architecture and uninterrupted views of Corpus Christi go hand in hand.

The Museum of Science and History is located near the Texas State Asian Cultures Museum, standing within the Bayfront Arts and Sciences Park. Highlights include some interesting, hands-on, displays, as well as the brilliant 'Reptiles of South Texas' story.

Texas State Asian Cultures Museum

Featuring some amazing exhibits from various countries in Asia, the Texas State Asian Cultures Museum resides within the Bayfront Arts and Sciences Park, in downtown Corpus Christi, and boasts more than 8,000 artifacts and documents. Amongst the exhibits are antiques from Japan, porcelain from China, arts and crafts from the Philippines, and a 5-foot / 1.5-meter Buddha.

Art Museum of South Texas

Affiliated with the Texas A&M University, the Art Museum of South Texas was built in 1972 and is a striking, modern building on the waterfront, known for its white architecture and extensive fountains. The museum is home to a large collection of works of art, which include many permanent displays and temporary exhibitions.
