Where to Stay

Where to stay in Corpus Christi depends very much on where you intend to visit, and of course your available budget. Hotels are noticeably clustered in the city's downtown district and well-placed for many central tourist attractions, which include superb shopping centers, notable restaurants and the American Bank Center (within the Bayfront Arts and Science Park) - a multi-purpose arena hosting conventions, sporting events and concerts for crowds of up to 10,000 people. The waterfront and promenade area of Corpus Christi is a particular favorite with tourists, although hotels here are understandably more expensive.

The northern downtown district, over the Harbor Bridge, is a much sought after area of the city, with hotels here offering superb harbor and cityscape views. Many hotels are also situated along the scenic Ocean Drive (parallel to the Shoreline Boulevard), which runs from the downtown waterfront to the Flour Bluff area, on the southeastern side of downtown Corpus Christi. Popular accommodation along the Ocean Drive includes the Best Western Marina Grand, the Knights Inn and the Super 8 Bayfront Hotel.
