Gatlinburg Ripley's Aquarium on the River Road
The Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies is one thing not to overlook, although it is unlikely that you would do so, as it is quite in your face and there are lots of signs. In fact, this has become one of the most popular of all the aquarium attractions across the USA and is visited each year by thousands, including me and my family this year. It is very modern, with state-of-the-art technology and big, big tanks, housing some big, big sharks. I liked going down the moving pathway and into the tunnel, which at the time of writing is the longest in the world. This was a really good idea, because it meant that we all had a good view and weren't jostling for a place. The tunnel was refreshingly uncrowded, not like other aquariums I've been to, where it can get a bit claustrophobic.

Spooky Ghost Walks
Like to learn more abot the ghostly goings on in Gatlinburg. Well we did. We took a walking ghost tour around the city's most haunted spots and learned some interesting facts about murders and ghouls. It was a bit of fun and not too long, about a mile or thereabouts. Quite a bit of local history throw in as well for the history buffs.

Gatlinburg Chair Lift - Great Views
Tourists always love the chair lifts and rightly so, they are brilliant. You get some great views and photograph opportunities as well. It takes you to the very mountain peak and then you can have a wander around, by some gifts, have a drink, and then go back down again! :)
