Taos Regional Airport (TSM) Information

(Taos, New Mexico - NM, USA)

The Taos Regional Airport provides a fast way to reach this charming northern New Mexico town if you have your own plane. Popular for its thriving Native American culture, beautiful scenery and neighboring ski resort, the town is one of New Mexico's top destinations all year round.

Few travelers actually fly into Taos, since it is currently only open to private planes and special charter flights. Although there are no commercial flights available here at present, this situation could change in the future as the airport is currently trying to expand its services. Most visitors fly into the Albuquerque International Sunport and take one of the direct shuttle vans to Taos, which is about two hours and 30 minutes drive north.

The regional airport is located some 12 miles / 19 km west of Taos along Highway US-64, ensuring quick and easy access to either the town or the ski area. Enterprise is the only car hire outfit at the airport when flights are operating. The town also has several taxi companies that can be called for a pick up.
