Jefferson City Shopping and Districts

(Jefferson City, Missouri - MO, USA)

Although this small state capital is hardly what you could call a major shopping destination, there are plenty of opportunities to spend your money around downtown Jefferson City and beyond.

Lots of appealing stores can be found by simply walking around the city center, particularly along roads such as the High Street and its interconnecting streets. A noticeable grouping of High Street stores is to be found just a couple of blocks south of the famous Jefferson Landing State Historic Site, where highlights include the Southbank Gift Company and Hallmark, along with a number of coffee shops.

Head to the East Side of Jefferson City and you will discover more of a specialty shopping scene, with antiques stores, galleries and small independent shops. However, for something on an altogether bigger scale, consider spending an afternoon at the Capital Mall on the West Truman Boulevard.
