Sarasota Art Galleries

(Sarasota, Florida - FL, USA)

Sarasota is well into the performing arts scene, with its live theater, opera and ballet. Without doubt, the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art is the city's most comprehensive and interesting museum, housing 21 separate art galleries in total. There are also numerous art galleries and arts districts worth exploring within Sarasota, with most of these featuring works by renowned international and nationally recognized masters.

However, if you are only interested in local Floridian painters, then Art Uptown is the place to go, displaying many originals. The Ringling Museum holds some of the best international works in the city, with rare pieces by Rubens, while the Art Center Sarasota has fine examples using different media in its galleries and sculpture garden.
